Workstation for creative pros

The Apple Mac Pro Late 2013 packs a 3.5GHz Intel Xeon E5-1650v2 six-core processor with 12 MB Smart Cache and Hyper-Threading. It ships with 32 GB of 1866 MHz DDR3 ECC SDRAM and a 1 TB PCIe flash drive. Dual AMD FirePro D500 graphics cards provide 3 GB GDDR5 VRAM each for multi-display workloads.

Check Thunderbolt and OS needs

This unit includes six Thunderbolt 2 ports, one HDMI 1.4 UltraHD port, four USB 3.0 ports and dual Gigabit Ethernet alongside 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. Verify that your peripherals and displays match these interfaces and that your software runs on OS X 10.9 Mavericks or a supported upgrade path.

Replaces tower workstations

The compact cylinder design replaces traditional tower workstations where space is limited and quiet operation matters. The jump is worth it when you need ECC memory reliability, dual GPU compute and Thunderbolt 2 expansion in a single small-form-factor chassis without internal drive bays.
