Seals conduit runs against gas, vapour or flame passage in hazardous locations with 25 % fill capacity
This 1-inch FNPT sealing fitting is built for Class I Division 1 and 2, Groups A through D, Class II Division 1 and 2, Groups E through G, and Class III hazardous areas. It blocks the passage of gases, vapours and flames between conduit sections. The fitting suits both horizontal and vertical runs and accepts IMC or RMC conduit of 1-inch trade size.
The body is cast from HAWA iron with a silver finish and measures 4.300 inches overall length. It carries a 25 percent fill rating for sealing compound, limiting the volume of compound that may be poured. Female NPT threads on both ends connect directly to conduit without adapters.
The 4-5/16-inch length requires adequate straight clearance in the raceway for vertical or horizontal mounting. Only 1-inch trade-size IMC or RMC conduit is compatible, so systems using other conduit types or sizes cannot use this fitting. Buyers needing larger trade sizes or different thread forms must select an alternative product.

Thread the fitting onto 1" IMC or RMC conduit using the female NPT ends, orienting it vertically or horizontally as required; the step often missed is applying the correct sealing compound to achieve the 25% fill rating and maintain the hazardous-location seal.
Inspect the threads and sealing compound periodically for corrosion or cracking, especially in harsh environments; replace the compound if it degrades to preserve the Class I, II, III hazardous-location rating.
The 25% fill capacity is the primary limit; exceeding it prevents proper sealing of gases, vapors or flames between conduit sections and voids the hazardous-location rating.
