Appleton Century Crofts EXGJH-118 IMC Coupling 1/2 in Threaded Bronze 18 in Flex

Application fit

The Appleton Century Crofts EXGJH-118 is a hazardous-location flexible coupling designed for 1/2 inch trade-size IMC or RMC conduit runs. It serves installers who need a code-compliant connection in Class I, Division 1 and 2 areas where vibration or movement makes rigid joints impractical.

Build and connections

The coupling uses a bronze body with a natural finish and provides male-to-male 1/2 inch MNPT threaded ends on hazardous-location fittings. An 18 inch flexible section allows multi-angle orientation between boxes or enclosures while maintaining the required hazardous-location rating.

Thermal and power profile

This passive conduit component carries no electrical load of its own and generates no heat or noise during operation. It simply maintains grounding continuity and mechanical protection for the conductors inside without adding to the circuit’s power draw.
