Hazardous-location flexible coupling with 12 in flex and 17 1/2 in overall length, connecting 3/4 in IMC or RMC conduit where vibration or movement occurs
The Appleton EXLK-212 is a 3/4-inch threaded bronze coupling designed for hazardous areas rated Class I Division 1 and 2, Class II Division 1 and 2, and Class III. It connects IMC or RMC conduit where vibration or movement requires a flexible link. The female-to-male NPT ends allow multi-angle orientation during installation.
The single dimension that determines fit is the 12-inch flexible section between the fittings. This length dictates how much offset or vibration travel the assembly can absorb while staying within the 17 1/2-inch overall envelope. Verify the available space and required movement before specifying this coupling.
The natural bronze surface provides corrosion resistance without added coatings that could degrade in harsh atmospheres. The female-to-male threaded ends swivel independently, letting the installer route the conduit at any angle without stressing the flexible element or the connected raceway.

The 12 in flex section allows the coupling to absorb vibration and movement between connected conduit runs while maintaining a hazardous-location seal.
The tapered NPT threads mate with 3/4 in IMC or RMC conduit and hazardous-location fittings, limiting the connection to that trade size and thread standard.
The coupling requires a straight run of at least 17 1/2 in between conduit ends, plus room for the multi-angle orientation to articulate during installation.
