Sealing Conduit for Hazardous Locations

The Appleton Century Crofts EYM-125AL is a sealing fitting designed for vertical and horizontal installations in hazardous areas. It connects 1-1/4 inch IMC or RMC conduit systems with FNPT to MNPT threaded ends. The aluminum powder-coated body carries Class I Division 1 and 2, Groups C and D, Class II Division 1 and 2, Groups E, F, G, and Class III ratings. It prevents the passage of gases, vapours or flames between conduit sections.

Capacity and Headroom

The fitting accepts a compatible conduit trade size of 1-1/4 in and provides an overall length of 4 15/16 in for sealing vertical or horizontal runs. It is built specifically for IMC and RMC conduit types in hazardous environments. Installations requiring larger trade sizes, different conduit materials or non-threaded connections cannot use this fitting. The hazardous location ratings cover the listed classes and groups only; unlisted environments fall outside its certified scope.

As a passive aluminum conduit fitting, the unit generates no heat, produces no audible noise and draws no electrical power during operation. Its silver powder-coated surface resists corrosion in the rated hazardous locations. Thermal performance depends entirely on the surrounding conduit system and ambient conditions. No active cooling, power supply or moving parts are involved.
