Reduces IMC conduit from 1/2 in to 1/4 in with threaded hazardous-location ends
The Appleton Century Crofts RB50-25 reducing bushing connects 1/4 in female NPT to 1/2 in male NPT threaded ends. It is built for use with intermediate metal conduit in hazardous locations. The iron body carries chromate, powder-coated and electroplated finishes for corrosion resistance.
The fitting accepts IMC and threaded rigid metal conduit at the listed trade sizes. Its hazardous-location rating covers Class I Groups A through D, Class II Groups E, F and G, and Class III environments. The threaded joint must be made up to the conduit standard for the rating to remain valid.
The bushing weighs 0.02 lb and measures 21/32 in overall length, so it adds minimal bulk inside a conduit run. It handles the transition between the two specified trade sizes but cannot adapt larger or smaller conduit diameters.

This bushing reduces 1/2 in MNPT to 1/4 in FNPT, matching the 1/4 in and 1/2 in trade sizes listed for IMC and threaded RMC.
The short 21/32 in profile keeps the fitting compact inside the box, leaving more room for wire bending and connections.
The multi-layer coating meets Class I Groups A–D, Class II Groups E–G and Class III ratings, protecting the iron body from corrosion in hazardous areas.
