Threaded steel reducing bushing connects 1 in and 2 in IMC conduit in hazardous locations
The Appleton Century Crofts reducing bushing connects 1 in and 2 in trade-size IMC or threaded RMC conduit in hazardous areas. It carries Class I Division 1 and 2, Class II Division 1 and 2, and Class III ratings for Groups A through G plus IIA, IIB, IIC and H2. The fitting is new and electroplated steel.
The bushing provides a 1 in FNPT to 2 in MNPT transition with an overall length of 31/32 in. It only joins conduit of the two listed trade sizes and the compatible IMC or threaded RMC types. No other conduit sizes, thread forms or non-hazardous ratings are covered by this fitting.
Electroplated steel construction resists corrosion in harsh industrial environments. The 0.57 lb weight and compact length allow it to fit in tight junction boxes without adding strain. Female-to-male threads let installers step down a 2 in male hub to a 1 in female connection quickly.

This reducing bushing connects a 1 in female thread to a 2 in male thread, so select it when you need to step down from 2 in conduit to a 1 in fitting.
The bushing adds roughly one inch to the assembly, allowing it to fit inside standard conduit bodies without exceeding typical knockout spacing.
The 1 in FNPT and 2 in MNPT ends mate with any NPT-threaded rigid metal conduit or IMC fitting, limiting connections to components cut to the same taper standard.
