Lock Plate for WC37 & WCM28 RC Serial

This lock plate is a genuine Appliance Factory Parts component designed for Champion and Essick air treatment units. It fits seventeen Champion models including WC37, WC44 and WC50, plus five Essick models such as N44W and N37W. The part is essential for securing the cabinet on compatible equipment.

Sustained Operation and Fitment

Under continuous service the plate maintains its locking function across the full model range without deformation. It is engineered specifically for units carrying a serial number beginning with RC, ensuring consistent alignment during repeated access cycles. The component withstands normal vibration and temperature swings found in commercial installations.

Installation Notes and Common Issues

Installation requires verifying that the unit serial number starts with RC before fitting; plates on non-RC units will not align. A frequent error is ordering this part for WC37 or WCM28 models with a different serial prefix, which results in a mismatch. No special tools are needed beyond standard hand tools for the mounting hardware.
