Aegis Fortress 2 TB encrypted portable SSD

The Apricorn Aegis Fortress AFL3S2TB provides 2 TB of solid-state storage in a rugged external enclosure. Hardware-based encryption protects data at rest without relying on host software. A USB 3.0 host interface delivers broad compatibility with current and legacy systems. The drive suits professionals who must transport sensitive files and need physical durability alongside cryptographic security.

Sustained transfer stability under encryption

Continuous read and write operations remain steady because the onboard encryption engine processes data in real time without burdening the host CPU. Thermal throttling is minimised by the metal chassis acting as a heatsink during long backups or video offloads. The absence of moving parts eliminates seek latency, so throughput does not degrade as the drive fills. Users requiring uninterrupted throughput for large sequential workloads will find performance consistent from start to finish.
