Tournament-Ready Rangefinder

The APTGRF laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1000 yards with ±0.3 yard accuracy and a 0.8-second response time. It features 6x magnification and a multi-coated lens for a clear view. An external slope switch lets you toggle slope-adjusted distances on or off to stay tournament legal. A built-in 750mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to 2–3 months of use per charge.

Upgrade From Basic GPS

This unit replaces handheld GPS devices or basic rangefinders that lack slope compensation and pin-seeking vibration. The jump is worth it when you need confirmed flag lock up to 280 yards with haptic feedback. Slope mode displays angle and recommended hitting distance for smarter club selection. The external switch instantly disables slope data for competition rounds without menu diving.

Range And Battery Headroom

The rangefinder comfortably handles flag detection at 280 yards and reflective targets out to 1000 yards. Scan mode tracks multiple targets across the course with continuous measurement. Battery life runs out after roughly 2–3 months of typical play, requiring a USB recharge. The compact 4.53 x 2.95 x 1.77 inch body weighs 6.35 oz and fits in a pocket or attaches magnetically to a cart.

Questions about this item

How much space does the 4.45 in x 1.77 in x 2.87 in body need in a pocket or cart mount?

The rangefinder measures 4.45 in long, 1.77 in wide and 2.87 in high, so it fits in most golf-shirt pockets and the built-in magnetic stripe secures it to any steel cart frame or club shaft.

Which button sequence activates the flag-lock vibration, and what is the common mistake?

Press and hold the measurement button to enter scan mode; the unit vibrates once the flag is locked at up to 280 yards. The common mistake is tapping the button instead of holding it, which only gives a single reading.

How often will the built-in 750 mAh lithium-ion battery need recharging or replacement?

The 750 mAh pack lasts 2–3 months per charge with auto shut-off after 15 seconds of inactivity; recharge via the USB port when the low-power indicator appears. The sealed cell is not user-replaceable.
