Precision Projection Lens for STORM Fixtures

The Aputure Spotlight Mount II is a compact ellipsoidal projection modifier built for STORM 400x and 700x fixtures. It delivers clean, high-contrast light shaping for film and video professionals who need precise beam control. An external rotatable barrel allows granular rotational adjustments during production. ProLock mount integration ensures a secure, production-ready connection.

26-Degree Beam Angle and Throw

The 26-degree lens projects a 1.4 m circle at a 3 m distance, giving a versatile spread for cinematic and photographic applications. This beam angle balances focused intensity with usable coverage for key-light or effect work. At closer range the circle tightens for sharper patterns; at greater distance the edge softens and output drops. The fixed focal length means you cannot zoom the projection size without moving the fixture.

ProLock Mount and Optical Limits

The ProLock interface locks the modifier to compatible STORM fixtures without tools, but it does not fit earlier Spotlight Mount or non-STORM Bowens-mount lights. Optical performance is calibrated for the 26-degree element; swapping to other lenses requires separate purchases not covered here. The barrel rotation adjusts pattern orientation only, not beam angle or focus distance. Build quality supports daily professional use, yet the modifier adds length to the fixture head, which may restrict placement in tight rigs.

Questions about this item

Will the 26-degree lens work with my existing STORM 400x fixture?

Yes, the Spotlight Mount II is built for both STORM 400x and STORM 700x fixtures, so it attaches directly to your 400x unit.

How can I verify the 26-degree projection is performing correctly once mounted?

At a three-metre throw distance the lens should produce a sharp-edged 1.4-metre (four-foot) diameter circle with even illumination across the field.

Does the package include the STORM fixture or only the projection lens assembly?

The box contains the Spotlight Mount II with the 26-degree lens installed; the STORM 400x or 700x fixture must be purchased separately.
