Questions about this item
How do I install the hard hat with the slotted adapter on this hood?
Slide the hard hat's slots onto the hood's adapter tabs until they click securely, then tighten the ratchet suspension; the step most people miss is seating the adapter fully before locking the ratchet.
What maintenance or replacement will the UltraSoft fabric and Pureview faceshield need later?
Inspect the 9 oz UltraSoft fabric after each use for char holes or chemical damage; replace the hood if the anti-fog and scratch-resistant coating on the Pureview faceshield becomes cloudy or scratched.
What limit appears first during sustained arc-flash exposure at the rated level?
The 40 cal/sq cm ATPV rating is the thermal limit; once incident energy reaches that value the fabric can no longer guarantee protection against second-degree burn.
