Solid Cast Brass Number

The Architectural Mailboxes 3585 floating house number is crafted from solid cast brass with a polished finish. It provides a clear, five-inch display for residential or commercial address identification. The elegant hand finish suits traditional and contemporary exteriors alike.

Floating Mount Flexibility

Mounting screws can be driven flush for a flat profile or left partially extended to create a floating effect. This hardware choice adds subtle depth and shadow to the facade without visible screw heads. Installers select the look that matches the building style.

Durable Brass Construction

Solid brass resists corrosion and weathers naturally over time. The concealed mounting holes keep the surface clean and free of visible fasteners. The number arrives new and ready for straightforward installation on masonry, wood or stucco.

Questions about this item

Will the polished brass finish need any upkeep to keep its appearance?

The solid cast brass has a hand-finished polished surface; brass naturally develops a patina over time, so occasional polishing with a brass cleaner will restore the original shine if desired.

What limits how long the floating mount stays secure on the wall?

The floating effect relies on the mounting screws being left partially extended; the hold lasts as long as the wall anchors and screw threads remain tight in the substrate.

Does the brass number get hot or draw power when mounted in direct sun all day?

The number is a passive solid brass casting with no electrical components, so it generates no heat of its own and consumes no power regardless of sun exposure.
