Compatible Color Cartridge for Pixma MP Printers

This Around The Office cartridge replaces the Canon CLI-211XL and fits Pixma MP240, MP250, MP480 and MP490 models. It is a new aftermarket unit supplied as a direct replacement for the original colour ink tank. Buyers who need the matching black cartridge or a multi-pack will not find them in this single listing.

Thermals, Noise and Power Draw

As a passive ink tank, the cartridge has no moving parts and draws no power during printing. It adds no audible noise and produces no measurable heat inside the printer. Operation is limited to the mechanical action of the print head moving across the page.

Questions about this item

How do I install the CLI-211XL cartridge in my Pixma MP240 and which step is often missed?

Open the front cover, wait for the carriage to centre, push the old cartridge down to release it, remove the orange protective tape from the new CLI-211XL, slide it in until it clicks, then close the cover and run the alignment routine from the printer menu.

What maintenance will this CLI-211XL cartridge need after it is installed?

The cartridge itself requires no maintenance; when print quality fades or the printer reports low ink, replace the CLI-211XL with a new unit and run a nozzle check to confirm output.
