Compatible Color Cartridge for Canon CL-246XL

This Around The Office cartridge replaces the Canon CL-246XL color ink tank. It fits PIXMA iP2820, MG2420, MG2520, MG2920 and MG2924 printers. The unit is supplied new and ready to install. Home users and small offices with these models can use it for everyday color printing.

E-PATCH chip enables printer recognition

The bundled E-PATCH chip communicates with the listed PIXMA models so the printer accepts the cartridge and reports ink levels. No additional software or firmware steps are required. Printers outside the named series will not recognise the chip, so buyers with other Canon models cannot use this cartridge.

Questions about this item

When will the CL-246XL colour cartridge need replacing?

Replace the cartridge when print quality fades or the printer signals low ink; the CL-246XL is a consumable with no user-serviceable parts.

What print-volume limit appears first during a long colour job?

The CL-246XL will run out of ink before any other limit is reached; page yield depends on coverage and the PIXMA model used.
