Arri DoPchoice Octa 4 47" softbox for Orbiter

Arri DoPchoice Octa 4 47" softbox for Orbiter

The Arri DoPchoice Octa 4 is a 47" octagonal softbox designed exclusively for the Orbiter LED fixture. It delivers soft, even illumination that flatters subjects and minimises harsh shadows for professional studio and portrait work. The unique octagon shape creates natural-looking catchlights in the eyes, adding depth and dimension to every shot. Its sturdy construction uses high-quality fabrics built to withstand frequent, demanding use on set.

Pole and hook 'n loop quick mounting system

This softbox replaces slower, traditional softbox assemblies that rely on separate speed rings or fiddly rod insertion. The pole and hook 'n loop design combined with a secure bayonet twist mount attaches directly to the centre of the Orbiter, allowing rapid assembly and disassembly. The jump is worth it when crew efficiency matters most, such as fast-paced location shoots or studio sessions where lighting changes must happen between takes without delaying talent or schedule.

47" diameter with front diffusion and integral

The generous 47" diameter provides ample coverage for individual portraits, small group shots and product lighting, while the included front diffusion panel and integral pyramid baffle ensure smooth, controlled light quality. Used open-face it offers maximum output and a slightly harder edge; adding the front panel increases diffusion and contrast control for tighter setups. It runs out when a scene demands a significantly larger wrap-around source or when the Orbiter fixture itself is not the chosen light engine.
