Purpose & Audience

The Bandicoot Sewing Cabinet by Arrow Group provides a dedicated workspace for fabric crafts and sewing enthusiasts. Its teak finish and mobile design suit home studios where the cabinet must be moved or locked in place. Buyers who need built-in cutting tables or industrial-grade lift capacity will not find those features here.

Machine Compatibility

The hydraulic lift accommodates most standard sewing machines weighing up to 55 lb and accepts custom acrylic inserts for a flush sewing surface. Three positions — free arm, flat bed and storage — let you match the deck height to the task without removing the machine.

Sustained Use Behaviour

Heavy-duty locking casters keep the cabinet stable during long stitching sessions while still allowing easy repositioning when the room layout changes. Thread spool racks on each door hold 10 spools per door for 20 total, and door cubbies plus two shelves keep notions, magazines and accessories within reach throughout extended projects.

Questions about this item

How does the 3-position hydraulic lift change the way I use my sewing machine?

The lift moves the machine between free-arm, flat-bed and storage positions so you can switch from tubular sewing to a full flat surface or tuck the machine away without lifting it.

What does the 55 lb lift capacity mean for the machines I can install?

The hydraulic mechanism is rated for most standard sewing machines up to 55 lb, so heavier industrial models would exceed the limit while typical home machines fit comfortably.

What floor space and clearance does the cabinet need with its locking casters deployed?

Heavy-duty locking casters let you roll the cabinet into position and lock it steady; allow enough room for the doors to swing open and for the lift to extend to its flat-bed height.
