Wallaby Sewing Cabinet Teak

The Wallaby cabinet gives sewists a dedicated station that moves a machine between free arm, flat bed and storage positions with a 3-position hydraulic lift rated for 55lb. Locking doors and heavy-duty casters add security and mobility for a home studio or classroom.

Hydraulic lift installation

The lift mechanism arrives pre-assembled inside the cabinet so the only steps are positioning the unit, locking the casters and lowering a compatible machine into the well. The most common issue is forgetting to engage the caster locks before raising a heavy machine, which can shift the cabinet unexpectedly.

Sustained use stability

Under long quilting sessions the rear quilt leaf and serger foldout leaf stay rigid, keeping large projects from dragging on the floor. Soft-closing drawers and the flush wood panel maintain a level worksurface even when the machine is stored, so the cabinet remains steady through hours of continuous stitching.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the hydraulic lift is set correctly for my machine after assembly?

Operate the lift through its three positions — free arm, flat bed and storage — and verify the movement is smooth and locks in each setting; the mechanism is rated for machines up to 55lb.

What accessories ship with the cabinet and which items must I purchase separately?

The cabinet includes the 3-position hydraulic lift, rear quilt leaf, serger foldout leaf, wood cover panel, full-view soft-closing drawers, 33 spool holders, a large door bin, an extra drawer, locking doors and heavy-duty casters; custom acrylic sewing inserts are sold separately.

The listing mentions a single teak finish — how do I decide if this version suits my space?

The teak finish is the only colour offered for this model; choose it if the warm brown tone matches your room, otherwise you would need a different cabinet line.
