ArsenalPC ROG Strix Helios GX601 Gaming Desktop

This system pairs an Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF 20 core processor with an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card for high-end gaming and content creation. It includes 64GB of DDR5 memory and a dual-drive layout combining a 2TB NVMe SSD with a 2TB HDD. The 850W power supply supports the full component set inside the ROG Strix Helios GX601 chassis. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and ready to use.

360mm Liquid Cooling Thermals and Acoustics

A 360mm liquid cooler manages heat from the 5.4GHz processor during typical gaming sessions. The all-in-one loop moves thermal load directly to the radiator, keeping internal case temperatures lower than air-cooled alternatives. Fan curves stay moderate at idle and light workloads, so acoustic output remains subdued for desktop use. The 2.5G Ethernet and wireless card add connectivity without increasing thermal density.

Sustained Load Behaviour Under Extended Gaming

Under prolonged heavy load the liquid loop continues to transfer heat to the 360mm radiator surface, allowing the Core Ultra 7 265KF and Radeon RX 9070 XT to maintain higher boost states longer. The 850W unit delivers stable power to both 16GB GDDR6 video memory and 64GB system memory without throttling. RGB lighting remains active throughout operation. Buyers who want more storage bays or a second graphics card should consider a larger chassis.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360mm liquid cooler in the ROG Strix Helios GX601 case, and what step is often missed?

Mount the radiator to the top or front panel using the included brackets, then connect the pump header to the CPU_FAN socket on the LGA 1851 motherboard; the step most builders miss is removing the protective film from the cold plate before seating it on the Core Ultra 7 265KF.

What maintenance or replacement will the liquid cooling loop and the 850W power supply need later?

The sealed 360mm loop requires no refill; plan to clean radiator fins annually and replace the unit if pump noise appears after several years, while the 850W supply should be swapped if coil whine develops or voltages drift under sustained 20-core loads.

Which limit appears first during extended gaming on the RX 9070 XT with 16GB GDDR6 and 64GB DDR5?

The GPU thermal ceiling typically hits before memory bandwidth saturates, so the 360mm liquid cooler’s ability to move heat away from the Radeon die becomes the first bottleneck during prolonged 5.4GHz boost sessions.
