Built for competitive gaming

This desktop pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 16-core processor at 4.7 GHz with an NVIDIA RTX 5070 graphics card carrying 12 GB GDDR7 memory. 128 GB of DDR5 RAM and a dual-drive layout of 2 TB NVMe SSD plus 2 TB HDD give fast load times and deep storage for large libraries. The ROG Strix Helios GX601 chassis ships with Windows 11 Home pre-installed and ready to play.

360 mm liquid cooling handles the CPU heat

The closed-loop cooler keeps the 16-core chip stable under sustained load while the 850 W power supply feeds the whole platform. Integrated audio and 2.5 G Ethernet handle baseline connectivity, and the wireless card adds cable-free network access. RGB lighting is built into the case for visual customisation.

ROG Strix Helios GX601 case defines the build

The enclosure supports the 360 mm radiator and standard 288-pin DIMM modules used by the 128 GB kit. Internal drive bays accommodate both the NVMe SSD and the mechanical HDD without extra brackets. Component brands may vary between units, so front-panel port layouts and exact cable routing can differ from the images shown.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm liquid cooler in the ROG Strix Helios GX601 case, and which orientation do builders often get wrong?

Mount the 360 mm radiator at the top or front with tubes entering the pump block from the side, not the top, to avoid trapping air; secure fans as intake for positive pressure.

What maintenance will the 360 mm liquid cooler and 850 W power supply need over time?

Inspect coolant tubing for seepage annually; vacuum dust from the PSU intake filter and radiator fins every six months; listen for pump whine that signals bearing wear.

Which thermal limit appears first when the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5070 run sustained loads in this chassis?

The 360 mm liquid cooler saturates first, causing CPU coolant temperature to climb and the 9800X3D to throttle before the GPU hits its own thermal ceiling.
