ROG Strix Helios GX601 platform

This gaming desktop arrives in the ROG Strix Helios GX601 chassis with a 360mm liquid cooler fitted as standard. It pairs an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D 12-core processor running at 4.4GHz with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card carrying 32GB GDDR7 memory. The system is built for enthusiasts who want a high-end, liquid-cooled Windows 11 machine ready for 4K gaming and heavy creative workloads.

128GB DDR5 and dual-drive storage

The configuration includes 128GB of DDR5 RAM and a storage split of 4TB NVMe SSD plus 2TB HDD. The large memory pool supports multi-tasking, content creation and AI-ready workflows without bottlenecks. The fast NVMe volume handles operating system, applications and active project files, while the mechanical drive provides bulk capacity for media libraries and backups.

Suited for 4K creators and high-refresh competitors

Buyers who need maximum frame rates at 4K, large memory for rendering or simulation, and a pre-tested liquid-cooled build will match this spec. Users who only play at 1080p, require ECC memory, or need a compact form factor for transport should look at smaller configurations.

Questions about this item

How often should the 360mm liquid cooler be checked or replaced on this Ryzen 9 9900X3D system?

Inspect the 360mm liquid cooler every 12 months for leaks, pump noise or coolant level, and plan a full replacement after roughly five years to keep the 12-core CPU at safe temperatures.

What component hits its limit first during extended gaming on the RTX 5090 32GB GDDR7?

The graphics card power draw and thermals typically plateau before the 1200W supply or 128GB DDR5 memory, so sustained 4K loads are bounded by GPU boost clocks and the 360mm cooler capacity.

How loud and hot does the ROG Strix Helios GX601 case get when the 1200W supply runs all day?

The 360mm liquid cooler keeps the Ryzen 9 9900X3D and RTX 5090 near idle acoustics under light load, but fan speeds rise noticeably during continuous 4K gaming, pushing exhaust air above ambient while staying within the case airflow design.
