ArsenalPC ROG Strix Helios GX601 Gaming Desktop

This gaming desktop combines a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X processor with a Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card for high-frame-rate play. The 128GB DDR5 memory and dual-storage array of 2TB NVMe SSD plus 2TB HDD provide ample space for large libraries. It ships with Windows 11 Home installed and ready to use.

Build Quality and Daily Connectivity

The ROG Strix Helios GX601 chassis houses a 360mm liquid cooler to manage thermals under sustained loads. An 850W power supply delivers stable current to all components. Wired networking runs at 2.5G Ethernet while integrated wireless and RGB lighting add convenience and visual customisation.

Practical Limits of the Platform

The AM5 chipset defines the upgrade path for future Ryzen processors within the same socket infrastructure. DDR5 memory operates in a 288-pin DIMM form factor, limiting expansion to compatible modules only. The 16GB GDDR6 frame buffer on the graphics card sets the ceiling for texture-heavy workloads at very high resolutions. Buyers who need more storage bays or a second graphics card should consider a larger chassis platform.

Questions about this item

What PCIe generation does the ROG Strix Helios GX601 motherboard support for the RX 9070 XT graphics card?

The AMD AM5 chipset provides PCIe 5.0 lanes, so the RX 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6 runs at full bandwidth on the primary x16 slot.

What are the case dimensions and radiator clearance for the 360mm liquid cooler?

The ROG Strix Helios GX601 supports a 360mm radiator in the front or top, and fits E-ATX boards with room for the 850W PSU and dual 2TB drives.

How is the 128GB DDR5 memory installed on the AM5 platform, and what slot order should be used?

Populate the four 288-pin DIMM slots starting with the two slots furthest from the CPU socket for best signal integrity on Ryzen 9 9950X.
