Professional FET Condenser Microphone

The ART C1 is a cardioid FET condenser microphone built around a 34mm gold-sputtered diaphragm. It delivers a warm, smooth frequency response and a wide dynamic range with a low noise floor, making it suitable for studio recording and live sound applications where clear, detailed capture is required.

Vocalists and Instrumentalists Needing

This microphone suits singers and solo instrumentalists such as acoustic strings, brass, woodwinds, drums and percussion who benefit from tight cardioid rejection of off-axis sound and predictable proximity effect for added low-end fullness. It is not for users who require switchable polar patterns, USB connectivity or battery operation, nor for those needing a matched pair for stereo techniques.

Requires External Phantom Power

As a condenser microphone, the ART C1 requires phantom power to operate, so your audio interface, mixer or preamp must supply it. Without that power source the microphone will not function.

Questions about this item

What does the 34 mm gold-sputtered diaphragm mean for my recordings?

The large 34 mm diaphragm captures a wide frequency range with high sensitivity, giving vocals and instruments a detailed, full-bodied sound and a low noise floor.

What connection does the C1 use and what does it require from my interface?

It uses a standard three-pin XLR output and requires phantom power from your interface, mixer or preamp to operate.

How do I mount the microphone on a stand or boom arm?

The package includes a stand mount that threads onto common 5/8-inch microphone stands; an adapter is needed for 3/8-inch threads.
