Ideal Starter Kit for Young Beginners

This Ashthorpe 30-inch electric guitar kit is built for children and first-time players who need a compact, manageable instrument. The 1/4-size solid wood body features a classic Strat-style shape with a high-gloss red finish and a comfortable maple neck. Everything required to start playing is included: a practice amplifier, gig bag, strap, cable, extra strings, and three picks.

Scale Neck with 21 Frets

The maple neck uses a C-shaped profile and a 30-inch scale length suited to smaller hands, while the maple fretboard provides 21 frets for learning chords and scales. A single-coil pickup and a single volume knob keep the electronics simple and predictable for beginners. Six steel strings come pre-installed and the adjustable bridge allows basic action setup.

Portable Battery-Powered Amplifier

The included practice amp runs on a 9-volt battery and offers tone, volume, and an overdrive switch for clean or distorted sounds. A headphone output enables silent practice without disturbing others. The amplifier can be worn over the shoulder or clipped to a belt for mobility during play.

Questions about this item

How does the 30-inch scale length affect playability for a young beginner?

The shorter 30-inch scale reduces string tension and fret spacing, making chords and single notes easier to reach for smaller hands.

What does the single-coil pickup and volume control allow me to shape?

The single-coil pickup delivers a bright, clear tone, while the volume knob lets you adjust output level directly on the guitar.

Will the included gig bag and strap fit this 30-inch guitar securely?

Yes, the supplied nylon gig bag and adjustable shoulder strap are sized specifically for the 30-inch body and 21-fret neck.
