Ashthorpe 41-Inch Acoustic-Electric Guitar

The Ashthorpe 41-inch cutaway thinline acoustic-electric guitar is built for beginners and advancing players who want a lightweight instrument that works both unplugged and through an amplifier. Its 3-inch deep body reduces weight without sacrificing the full-scale fretboard length.

Tonewoods and electronics headroom

An A-grade spruce top with X-bracing and basswood back and sides delivers a warm, resonant acoustic voice that projects well in practice rooms and small venues. The integrated 4-band pickup equaliser with volume, bass, mid, treble and presence controls shapes the amplified signal cleanly, though very high-gain settings can introduce noise.

Thinline cutaway body constraint

The 3-inch thinline cutaway design gives comfortable upper-fret access and easy handling, but the reduced body depth limits low-end resonance and acoustic volume compared with deeper dreadnought or jumbo models.

Questions about this item

Will the 41-inch cutaway thinline body fit in the same gig bag I use for a standard dreadnought?

The 41-inch full-size cutaway thinline body is 3 inches thick, which is slimmer than a standard dreadnought, so an existing dreadnought bag will fit but with extra room around the body.

How can I confirm the onboard 4-band pickup equalizer is functioning correctly after I plug into an amplifier?

Turn the volume knob up, then move each bass, mid-range, treble and presence slider while strumming; you should hear distinct tonal changes for each band through the amp.

Does the package include an amplifier and a cable, or do I need to buy them separately?

The bundle supplies the guitar with one set of pre-installed coated steel strings plus a spare set; an amplifier and instrument cable are not included and must be purchased separately.
