Cooperative Living Card Game

Marvel Champions is a cooperative Living Card Game where players embody Marvel heroes working together to defeat villain schemes. The core set provides everything needed to start playing immediately. Designed for fans of superhero team-ups and narrative card combat.

Scenario-driven deck construction

Each game uses a modular encounter deck built around a specific villain and scheme, creating a unique challenge every session. Hero decks combine a fixed identity with customizable aspect cards. The system rewards tactical coordination over deck optimisation alone.

Four heroes and three villains included

The box contains Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, She-Hulk and Black Panther identities with pre-built decks. Three villain scenarios — Rhino, Klaw and Ultron — offer escalating difficulty. No additional purchases are required to play the full campaign.

Questions about this item

What does the cooperative Living Card Game format mean for actual play?

You and up to three friends each pick a Marvel hero deck and work together to defeat a villain scenario; no player-versus-player combat is involved.

How do the hero and villain decks interact through the encounter and player card types?

The encounter deck feeds minions, treacheries and schemes that advance the villain's plan, while player cards let you attack, thwart, defend and alter the board state each round.

What storage space does the core box provide for sleeved cards and future expansions?

The included cardboard insert holds the five hero decks, villain deck, encounter sets and token sheets, with room for a few sleeved expansion packs.
