Essential Gold Prospecting Scoop

The ASR Outdoor 12.5 Inch Prospecting Sand Scoop is a dedicated hand tool for gold panning and metal detecting. Its single-piece plastic construction eliminates metallic interference, preventing false signals while you recover targets. The bright green colour helps you spot gold flakes against the scoop surface during sorting. It serves both prospectors and gardeners needing a rust-proof trowel.

Non-Metallic Single-Piece Construction

The scoop is moulded from heavy-duty plastic in one piece, so there are no metal parts to trigger a detector or corrode over time. This design resists cracking and chemical corrosion during repeated field use. A lanyard hole allows secure attachment to a belt or pack for quick access. The tool weighs 3.5oz and measures 12.5 inches in overall length.

Lightweight Durability in Harsh Conditions

Weighing only 3.5oz, the scoop adds minimal fatigue during long detecting sessions in wet sand or soil. The plastic body withstands repeated impact against rocks and gravel without denting or rusting. No moving parts or coatings mean there is nothing to degrade or maintain between trips. It performs reliably as a garden trowel or pet waste tool when not prospecting.

Questions about this item

How does the 12.5 inch length perform when you are digging through wet sand?

The 12.5 inch length gives enough reach to work standing up while keeping the blade wide enough to move a useful volume of wet sand with each pass.

What does the single-piece plastic construction mean for use with a metal detector?

The non-metallic, single-piece plastic will not trigger false signals on a metal detector and cannot rust or corrode after repeated exposure to water and soil.

What does the lanyard hole allow for carrying or storage?

The lanyard hole lets you thread a cord or carabiner so the scoop can hang from a belt loop, backpack strap or pegboard hook without taking up pack space.
