ATX board with Intel H97 chipset, four DDR3 slots up to 32 GB, one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, six SATA 6 Gb/s ports and Intel gigabit LAN
The ASRock H97 Pro4 is an ATX motherboard built around the Intel H97 chipset for LGA 1150 processors. It accepts Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron CPUs and supports Turbo Boost Technology 2.0. Four 240-pin slots take DDR3 or DDR3L memory up to 1600 MT/s in dual-channel mode, with a 32 GB ceiling.
Standard ATX mounting holes line up with any compatible case, and the 24-pin plus 8-pin power connectors sit in familiar positions. The single PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot, three PCI Express x1 slots and two legacy PCI slots are clearly labelled, so expansion cards drop in without guesswork. Six SATA 6 Gb/s ports support RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10; route cables before seating the board to avoid blocking the lower slots.
The Intel I218V LAN controller holds a consistent 1 Gbps link during prolonged transfers, while the Realtek ALC892 codec delivers 7.1-channel audio without dropouts. SATA 6 Gb/s ports sustain rated speeds across RAID arrays during extended read-write cycles. VRM heatsinks keep power delivery stable for the supported CPU range, so performance does not throttle during long compile or rendering sessions.

Boot into the OS, open Device Manager and verify the Realtek High Definition Audio driver is present, then play a test tone through the 7.1 channel outputs to confirm sound from each jack.
The board itself and its I/O shield are included; you must buy an LGA 1150 processor, DDR3 or DDR3L memory modules up to 1600 MHz, a graphics card if the CPU lacks integrated graphics, storage drives for the six SATA 6Gb/s ports, and an ATX power supply.
Select a matched DDR3 or DDR3L kit rated at 1600 MHz — two 8 GB modules for 16 GB or four 8 GB modules for the full 32 GB — both will run in dual-channel mode across the four slots.
