31.5" VA QHD gaming display

This ASRock Phantom Gaming monitor delivers a 2560 x 1440 resolution on a flat 31.5 inch VA panel with 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT response time. The 3000:1 contrast ratio and 550 cd/m2 peak brightness suit competitive and immersive play alike. Wide 178 degree viewing angles keep colour consistent from off-centre positions. It targets gamers who want high refresh performance at QHD without a curved screen.

Built-in speakers and Wi-Fi antenna convenience

Two integrated 2W speakers provide basic audio without external hardware, while the included 7dBi antenna supports Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, 6E and 7 connectivity for wireless peripherals or streaming. AMD FreeSync Premium adaptive sync reduces tearing across the variable refresh range. HDR400 certification adds a baseline high dynamic range experience for compatible content. These features reduce desktop clutter and cable count for a cleaner setup.

Ergonomic stand and versatile mounting

The stand offers height, swivel and tilt adjustments so users can dial in a comfortable viewing posture for long sessions. A three-sided frameless bezel design minimises visual distraction in multi-monitor arrays. VESA 100 x 100mm compatibility allows wall or arm mounting when desk space is limited. Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 and a 3.5mm headphone jack for flexible device hookup.

Questions about this item

How often will the 2 x 2W built-in speakers or the 3.5 mm earphone jack need replacement?

The 2 x 2W speakers and 3.5 mm jack are solid-state components with no moving parts, so they rarely require replacement under normal use.

What limit appears first during extended 165Hz gaming sessions on the VA panel?

Sustained 165Hz operation at 550 cd/m² brightness can push the panel toward its 90 W maximum power draw before thermal throttling becomes a factor.

How loud and hot does the monitor get when running all day at 550 cd/m²?

Typical draw is 45 W, rising to 90 W max; the fanless design stays silent while the metal chassis dissipates heat, keeping surface temperatures moderate.
