1U rackmount barebone with redundant 300 W power supply, AM4 socket for Ryzen CPUs, four DDR4 ECC UDIMM slots up to 128 GB, six SATA 600 ports, dual Gigabit LAN and IPMI via Aspeed AST2500
This new ASRock Rack barebone ships as a 1U rackmount chassis with a 300 W redundant power supply. It is built around the AMD X470 chipset and accepts a single AM4-socket Ryzen processor from the 3000, 2000 or first-generation families. No CPU or memory comes installed, so the integrator chooses both.
The board suits integrators who need a compact server that can run ECC DDR4 UDIMMs up to 128 GB across four slots. It is not suited for workloads that require dual processors, registered DIMMs, or more than two M.2 devices. Builds needing ten-gigabit networking or additional PCIe x16 slots should look elsewhere.
Four 288-pin slots support DDR4 at 3200, 2933, 2666, 2400 or 2133 MHz in dual-channel mode with ECC or non-ECC UDIMMs. This memory ceiling and ECC support are the decisive factors when matching the platform to reliability-focused workloads.
