Mini-1U barebone server with soldered Xeon D-1518, four DIMM slots for up to 128 GB DDR4, dual 10G SFP+ and six GbE ports
Model Intel Xeon D-1518
The Supermicro SYS-E300-8D is a Mini-1U server barebone with a soldered Intel Xeon D-1518 processor running at 2.2 GHz. Four cores and eight threads operate within a 35 W TDP, cooled by a passive heatsink and two 40 mm fans. An external DC power adapter removes the internal supply, reducing heat in the 1.70" high chassis. Four DIMM slots accept DDR4 ECC RDIMM up to 128 GB or ECC and non-ECC UDIMM up to 64 GB at 2133, 1866 or 1600 MHz.
This system suits builders deploying a compact network appliance, firewall or virtualisation host that needs dual 10 GbE SFP+ and six 1 GbE ports plus a dedicated IPMI 2.0 link. A single PCIe 3.0 x8 low-profile slot, one M.2 2242/2280/22110 and a mini PCIe socket provide limited internal expansion. Buyers who require more than one 2.5" drive bay, additional PCIe slots or an onboard GPU should consider other platforms.
The maximum supported capacity is 128 GB using DDR4 ECC RDIMM modules; UDIMM configurations stop at 64 GB. Populating all four slots with registered DIMMs reaches the upper limit, while unbuffered DIMMs cannot exceed the lower figure. Choose the module type that matches the target capacity before ordering.

Other versions of this model
Four DDR4 ECC RDIMM modules running at 2133, 1866 or 1600 MHz fill the four DIMM slots and give the full 128 GB capacity.
Yes, the six 1 GbE ports from the Intel I350-AM4 and I210 controllers connect directly to standard Gigabit Ethernet switches.
Connect the dedicated IPMI LAN port to your network, then browse to the BMC IP address; the Aspeed AST2400 graphics will serve the IPMI 2.0 web console.
