LGA 2011-v3 ATX board with Intel X99 chipset, quad-channel DDR4 up to 3000 OC, ten SATA 6Gb/s ports, Ultra M.2 at 32 Gb/s and Intel I218V LAN
The ASRock X99 Extreme3 is an ATX motherboard built around the Intel X99 chipset for LGA 2011-v3 Core i7 processors. It targets enthusiasts and workstation builders who need quad-channel DDR4 memory and extensive storage connectivity in a standard form factor. The board delivers Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 support and a full set of expansion slots for multi-GPU or add-in card configurations.
The board provides two PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots operating at x16 and x16 modes, plus one PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot at x4 mode and one PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot. Ten SATA 6Gb/s ports and a single Ultra M.2 socket handle storage; the M.2 socket accepts SATA3 6.0 Gb/s modules or PCI Express modules up to Gen3 x4 (32 Gb/s). RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and Intel Rapid Storage 13 are supported across the SATA array.
Four 288-pin DDR4 slots support speeds from 1066 up to 3000+(OC) with a maximum capacity of 64GB in quad-channel mode. This memory ceiling is the decisive specification: workloads that require more than 64GB must choose a different platform, while builds staying within that limit gain the bandwidth of four channels and a wide range of supported frequencies.

The board runs DDR4 at 2133 natively; 2400, 2800, 2933 and 3000+ are overclocked profiles that require compatible modules and BIOS tuning.
The Ultra M.2 socket connects through PCIe 3.0 x4, so an M.2 PCIe drive can reach up to 32 Gb/s while a SATA M.2 drive is limited to 6.0 Gb/s.
Ten SATA 6Gb/s ports are provided and support RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 plus Intel Rapid Storage 13.
