Platform and Audience

The ASRock Z590 Taichi is an ATX motherboard built around the Intel Z590 chipset with an LGA 1200 socket. It supports 10th and 11th Gen Intel Core processors and accepts DDR4 non-ECC un-buffered memory. It is intended for builders assembling a new system on this platform.

Who It Suits and Who It Does Not

This board suits enthusiasts who want to run 10th or 11th Gen Intel Core CPUs with high-speed DDR4 memory up to 5000+(OC) on 11th Gen or 4800+(OC) on 10th Gen. It is not for anyone needing ECC memory support, nor for builds that require a different socket or chipset.

Deciding Specification

The LGA 1200 socket paired with the Z590 chipset is the single specification that determines compatibility; it only works with the supported 10th and 11th Gen Intel Core processors and DDR4 memory.

Questions about this item

What accessories come in the box with the ASRock Z590 Taichi motherboard?

The box includes a Wi-Fi antenna, an I/O backplate and the connecting cables. The CPU, memory, storage and graphics card are sold separately.

Should I choose an 11th Gen or 10th Gen Intel Core processor for this Z590 board?

Both generations fit the LGA 1200 socket. 11th Gen CPUs enable DDR4 speeds up to 5000+(OC) while 10th Gen CPUs top out at 4800+(OC).

What does the 5000+(OC) memory speed mean once the board is built into a system?

With an 11th Gen processor installed, the motherboard can run DDR4 modules at 5000 MT/s or higher when overclocked. With a 10th Gen chip the ceiling is 4800+(OC).
