Tactical drone control

Drone Swarm is a downloadable PC strategy game published by Astragon and developed by stillalive Studios. Players command a massive swarm of individually simulated units in fast-paced tactical combat. The game releases as a Steam activation code for Windows systems. It suits players looking for a novel real-time strategy experience centred on swarm mechanics.

Thermals and power in normal use

As a software product, Drone Swarm has no physical hardware thermals, fan noise or independent power draw. The host computer’s cooling and power systems handle all processing load generated by the game engine. Performance scales with the capability of the installed CPU and GPU. No separate thermal or acoustic characteristics apply to the downloadable code itself.

Activation and regional access

The product delivers a Steam key that activates Drone Swarm on the purchaser’s Steam account. Activation is restricted and unavailable in several listed countries and regions. A persistent internet connection and a valid Steam account are required for installation and play. The download package includes no additional physical accessories or standalone software utilities.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Steam code and what step is often missed?

Redeem the code in Steam, then launch the game from your library to download the full installation; the step people skip is launching after redemption.

Will I need to renew any subscription or replace the licence later?

The purchase gives a permanent Steam licence for Drone Swarm model 71818; no subscription renewal or licence replacement is required.

What performance limit appears first when controlling 32000 drones in long sessions?

Sustained simulation of 32000 individually modelled drones pushes the CPU first, causing frame-rate drops before graphics memory fills.
