Purpose-built gaming mouse

The ASUS C-12 zelotes is a right-handed optical mouse with 16 buttons and an adjustable grip style. It connects through a USB port and offers on-the-fly sensitivity changes via a dedicated DPI button. The package includes the mouse and an instruction manual for immediate setup.

Upgrade from basic office mice

Buyers moving from a standard two-button mouse gain 12 programmable buttons and four hardware DPI steps at 1000, 1500, 2000 and 4000, extendable to 8000 through software. The jump is worth it when macros, rapid sensitivity shifts or weight tuning matter for competitive play or productivity workflows.

Build integration and trade-offs

Eight removable 2.5-gram weights let you tune mass without extra tools, while the rubberised, sweat-resistant shell supports long sessions. RGB backlighting adds visual feedback, and the optical sensor works on most surfaces. Mac users should note the programming software is not fully compatible, so button remapping is limited on that platform.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the ASUS C-12 zelotes mouse?

The mouse measures 4.9 cm wide, 11.4 cm deep and 15.7 cm high.

How do I install the 2.5 g weight blocks, and what mistake should I avoid?

Open the bottom compartment, insert up to eight blocks, then close the latch; the common error is leaving the latch unsecured so blocks fall out during use.

When will the mouse feet need replacement, and what indicates wear?

Replace the PTFE feet when they feel rough or the mouse drags on the pad; lifespan varies by surface but typically lasts many months of daily gaming.
