Ready-to-use desktop for Chrome OS workflows

This ASUS Chromebox 5a ships with Chrome OS pre-installed and an Intel Core i7-1355U processor, 16 GB DDR5 memory and a 256 GB NVMe drive. It targets home and personal users who want a compact, fanless system for web apps, streaming and cloud-based productivity without managing Windows updates. No monitor is included in the box.

Simple placement, limited internal access

The unit arrives fully assembled; just connect power, a display via the available video outputs and peripherals to start working. Because the memory and storage are soldered or integrated, there are no user-serviceable slots for RAM upgrades or a second drive. Attempting to open the chassis can damage the thermal solution and voids the manufacturer seal.

Verify display inputs and peripheral needs

Confirm your monitor accepts the video connectors present on this Chromebox before ordering. Plan for a USB keyboard and mouse or a Bluetooth set, as none are bundled. Ensure your workflow runs entirely on Chrome OS or web and Android apps, since the device cannot run traditional Windows or Linux desktop applications.
