uATX board for LGA 1155 CPUs with H61 chipset, dual-channel DDR3 up to 16 GB, PCIe 3.0 x16, DVI and D-Sub video, 8-channel audio and gigabit LAN
The ASUS H61M-K pairs the Intel H61 (B3) chipset with an LGA 1155 socket supporting Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron processors. It fits uATX chassis and provides two 240-pin DDR3 slots for dual-channel memory up to 16 GB. Onboard graphics output includes DVI and D-Sub ports driven by the CPU integrated graphics processor.
Under continuous load the board runs within the thermal and power envelope defined by the H61 chipset and supported CPUs. Turbo Boost 2.0 engages on compatible processors while the voltage regulation and PCB layout handle typical desktop workloads without additional active cooling on the chipset heatsink.
Maximum supported memory is 16 GB across the two slots using non-ECC un-buffered DDR3 modules at speeds from 1066 up to 2200 MT/s when overclocked. This capacity ceiling is the single figure that determines whether the board meets a given build requirement.

The H61 chipset is a low-power design with a modest thermal envelope, so the board itself adds little heat or draw; total consumption will depend on the LGA 1155 processor and DDR3 memory you install.
You need two un-buffered non-ECC DDR3 DIMMs up to 16 GB total and any Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium or Celeron CPU in the LGA 1155 package.
The PCIe 3.0 x16 slot is backward compatible with PCIe 2.0 cards, and the rear I/O provides both DVI and D-Sub outputs for legacy displays.
