Product profile

The ASUS Master01 FFJ is a right-handed wireless gaming mouse with a 24000 DPI optical sensor and 16 programmable buttons. It connects via 2.4 GHz wireless, USB-C wired or Bluetooth 5.3 and offers up to 75 hours of battery life with RGB disabled. Adjustable grip style and touch scrolling suit enthusiasts who want extensive button remapping and macro support.

Setup checks

Verify that your system runs Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP to use the configuration driver for DPI steps, polling rate, RGB effects and button macros. Ensure a free USB port is available for the 2.4 GHz receiver or for USB-C wired charging. Confirm that your workspace allows a 15 metre wireless range if you plan to operate at distance.

Build fit

The mouse weighs 0.17 pounds and measures 5.207 cm by 9.0932 cm by 13.4112 cm, fitting compact desk spaces without a charging dock. A 1000 mAh battery delivers 40 hours with RGB on or 75 hours with RGB off, while automatic light and deep sleep modes activate after one and five minutes of inactivity. Optical switches rated for 80 million clicks reduce the need for early replacement.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and is a separate USB dongle required for 2.4 GHz wireless?

The box contains the Master01 wireless gaming mouse and one power cable for charging. The tri-mode design uses a built-in 2.4 GHz receiver so no extra dongle purchase is needed.

Which DPI and polling-rate settings should I pick for fast-paced shooters versus strategy games?

The sensor adjusts from 50 to 24000 DPI and offers four polling rates: 125, 250, 500 and 1000 Hz. High DPI with 1000 Hz suits twitch shooters; lower DPI with 500 Hz works well for strategy titles.

How does the 400 IPS tracking speed and 35G acceleration feel in actual gameplay?

The optical sensor tracks at up to 400 IPS and 35G acceleration with 0.1 ms latency, so rapid flicks and sudden stops register without spin-out or smoothing during intense matches.
