Purpose-built Z77 micro-ATX

The ASUS Maximus V Gene is a new Intel Z77 motherboard in the micro-ATX form factor. It uses the LGA 1155 socket and supports DDR3 memory up to 32GB maximum capacity. This board targets enthusiasts building a compact system around a compatible Intel processor.

Fits compact performance builds

Suits builders who want a full-feature Z77 chipset in a smaller chassis without sacrificing overclocking headroom. Buyers needing more than 32GB of RAM or a different socket type should look at other platforms that match their capacity and processor requirements.

LGA 1155 socket decides fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the LGA 1155 CPU socket. Only processors designed for this socket will install and function on this motherboard, so verify your processor matches before purchase.
