ASUS Prime AP202 Intel Core Ultra 9 285K Desktop

The ASUS Prime AP202 is a liquid-cooled gaming desktop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with 24 cores running at 5.7GHz. It pairs the CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card carrying 16GB GDDR7 memory. The system includes 128GB DDR5 RAM and a 2TB NVMe SSD, powered by a 1000W supply with Windows 11 Home installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This desktop suits gamers and creators who want a ready-to-play system with high core counts and current-generation GPU performance. The 360mm liquid cooler supports sustained loads during long sessions. Buyers who need more than 2TB of fast storage or who require multiple graphics cards for compute workloads should consider other configurations.

The specification that decides fit

The Intel Core Ultra 9 285K uses the LGA 1851 socket, so this motherboard cannot accept processors from other socket families. The four DDR5 slots are fully populated with 128GB, leaving no room for memory expansion without replacing modules. The 1000W power supply and PCI Express x16 slot are matched to the RTX 5080, limiting future GPU upgrades to cards with similar power demands.

Questions about this item

What case clearance does the 360mm liquid cooler require?

The 360mm radiator needs a case with a 360mm mounting location and enough depth for fans on both sides.

How is the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K seated in the LGA 1851 socket during assembly?

Align the triangle marker on the processor with the socket corner, lower it straight down without pressure, then close the retention lever.

When should the liquid cooler coolant be checked or replaced?

Inspect the 360mm loop every 12 to 24 months for evaporation or discoloration; replace the fluid if temperatures rise above normal.
