System identity

The ASUS Prime AP202 is a pre-built gaming desktop centred on an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 16-core processor running at 4.7 GHz and a Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card with 16 GB GDDR6 memory. It ships with 128 GB of DDR5 RAM, a 2 TB NVMe SSD and Windows 11 Home installed.

Build integration

A 360 mm liquid cooler handles CPU thermals while an 850 W power supply feeds the complete platform. Four DDR5 slots are populated, leaving no free memory sockets for expansion. The single PCI Express x16 link is occupied by the graphics card, so additional add-in cards would require a different chassis layout.

Sustained behaviour

Liquid cooling allows the 16-core processor to maintain its 4.7 GHz base frequency during extended sessions without thermal throttling. The 850 W unit delivers stable power to both the CPU and the 16 GB GDDR6 GPU under continuous load. Builders who need more storage or a second graphics card should consider a different platform.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler keep the Ryzen 7 9800X3D at 4.7 GHz during long gaming sessions?

The 360 mm liquid cooler is sized to handle the 16-core CPU under sustained load, so the processor can maintain its 4.7 GHz base frequency during extended gaming.

How loud and hot does the system get when the Radeon RX 9070 XT and CPU run all day?

The 360 mm liquid cooler and 850 W power supply are designed to move heat efficiently and run quietly, keeping noise and temperatures low during all-day use.

Does the AP202 need any extra cables or parts before it will boot?

No, Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and all internal power and data cables are connected; just add a monitor, keyboard and mouse to start.
