Core specification

This ASUS Prime AP202 desktop pairs a Ryzen 9 9900X 12-core processor running at 4.4 GHz with a Radeon RX 9070 graphics card carrying 16 GB of GDDR6 memory. The system ships with 128 GB of DDR5 RAM across four slots and a 2 TB NVMe solid-state drive for primary storage. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed on a platform built for high-end gaming and content creation workloads.

Thermals and acoustics

A 360 mm liquid cooler handles the CPU thermal load while an 850 W power supply delivers stable energy to all components. The liquid loop keeps the 12-core processor at controlled temperatures during typical gaming sessions, reducing the need for high-speed case fans. Power draw at the wall reflects the combined demands of the CPU, GPU, memory and storage under normal mixed-use conditions.

Sustained load behaviour

Under extended heavy workloads the liquid cooler maintains consistent CPU clock rates without the throttling seen in shorter air-cooled bursts. The 850 W unit provides headroom for prolonged GPU and CPU utilisation simultaneously, keeping frame rates stable during long gaming or rendering sessions. Component brands may vary, but the thermal and power envelope remains unchanged across configurations.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm liquid cooler and what step is often missed?

The 360 mm liquid cooler is pre-installed and factory tested; the step users sometimes miss is confirming the pump cable is seated on the CPU_FAN header before first boot.

What maintenance or replacement will the 360 mm liquid cooler need later?

The sealed 360 mm liquid cooler is maintenance-free for its service life; if pump noise or temperatures rise after several years the whole unit would be replaced rather than refilled.

What limit appears first during sustained loads on the Ryzen 9 9900X with this cooler?

Under sustained loads the Ryzen 9 9900X will hit its thermal throttle point before the 360 mm liquid cooler reaches its heat-dissipation ceiling.
