ASUS Prime AP202 Gaming Desktop

The ASUS Prime AP202 is a pre-built gaming desktop powered by a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor running at 4.3GHz. It targets enthusiasts who want a liquid-cooled system ready for 4K gaming and heavy multitasking without assembling parts themselves. The 1000W power supply supports the high-end components installed. Buyers needing a compact workstation or a budget office machine should look elsewhere.

Capacity and Headroom

Sixty-four gigabytes of DDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD provide ample space for modern titles, creative applications and large project files. The GeForce RTX 5080 with 16GB GDDR7 handles ray-traced 4K gameplay and GPU-accelerated workloads comfortably. Storage expansion is possible via the available SATA III interface, though the M.2 slots are not detailed. Users planning massive local media libraries or multi-GPU render farms will hit capacity limits.

Bundled Extras Impact

A 360mm liquid cooler keeps the 16-core CPU at stable temperatures during extended sessions, reducing thermal throttling compared to air cooling. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed so the system boots straight to a usable desktop. WiFi and RGB lighting are included for connectivity and aesthetics. Component brands may vary from the images shown, so specific cooler or memory vendors are not guaranteed.

Questions about this item

Will the AM5 socket and 1000W PSU support my existing AM5 cooler and PCIe 4.0 storage drives?

The CPU uses an AM5 socket so any AM5-compatible cooler will mount, and the 1000W power supply provides enough headroom for additional PCIe 4.0 NVMe drives you may keep.

How can I confirm the 360mm liquid cooler and RTX 5080 are performing correctly after first boot?

Check CPU temperatures under load to verify the 360mm liquid cooler is seated, then run a GPU benchmark to see the RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 hitting expected clocks.

Which components come pre-installed and what must I add separately?

The system ships with the Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 64GB DDR5, 2TB NVMe SSD, RTX 5080, 360mm liquid cooler, 1000W PSU and Windows 11 Home; only peripherals such as monitor, keyboard and mouse are needed separately.
