ATX Intel Z270 board with LGA 1151 socket, four DDR4 slots up to 64 GB, dual M.2, four SATA 6 Gb/s ports, one PCIe 3.0 x16 plus a second at x4, four PCIe x1, Realtek ALC887 8-channel audio.
The ASUS PRIME Z270-P is an ATX Intel motherboard built around the Z270 chipset for LGA 1151 processors. It accepts Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron CPUs with Turbo Boost 2.0 support. Four 288-pin DDR4 slots provide dual-channel memory up to 64 GB and speeds ranging from 2133 to 3866 MHz when overclocked.
This board suits builders who want up to 64 GB of dual-channel DDR4 and two M.2 sockets that accept 2242, 2260 and 2280 drives in either SATA or PCIe x4 modes. It is not compatible with Intel 8th Gen CPUs, so anyone planning a Coffee Lake upgrade should look at a 300-series chipset instead.
The two M.2 Socket 3 slots add fast storage options, but installing a SATA-mode drive in the M.2_1 socket disables the SATA_1 port. Rear I/O includes HDMI 1.4b for 4096 x 2160 at 24 Hz or 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz, DVI-D at 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz, four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and dual PS/2 connectors. Realtek ALC887 8-channel audio and RTL8111H 1 Gbps LAN handle sound and networking.

Yes, DDR4-3200 is listed among the supported overclocked speeds, so the board can run it when XMP is enabled.
No, the specifications state the socket is not compatible with 8th-generation CPUs; it supports 6th and 7th-generation Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron processors.
You can connect three SATA drives because installing a SATA-mode M.2 device in the first M.2 socket disables the first SATA port.
