LGA 1700 ATX board for 12th and 13th Gen Intel Core CPUs with DDR4 support, PCIe 5.0 x16, three M.2 slots, 2.5G and 1G LAN, and front USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C with 60W charging
The ASUS ProArt B660-Creator D4 is an ATX motherboard built around the Intel B660 chipset and the LGA 1700 socket. It accepts 12th and 13th Generation Intel Core, Pentium Gold and Celeron processors. Four DDR4 slots support up to 128 GB of memory in dual-channel mode. The board targets content creators who need reliable connectivity and expansion for professional workloads.
Validated for continuous 24/7 operation, the platform delivers stable throughput for long rendering or encoding sessions. A single PCI Express 5.0 x16 slot provides high-bandwidth graphics attachment, while a second x16 slot runs at PCIe 3.0 x4 for additional cards. Three M.2 slots accept 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 drives, with the primary slot operating at PCIe 4.0 x4 when paired with a 12th Gen CPU. Dual Ethernet at 2.5 Gb and 1 Gb maintains consistent network throughput.
Moving from an earlier B-series or DDR4 platform adds PCIe 5.0 graphics support, 2.5 Gb Ethernet and front-panel USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C with 60 W charging. The jump is worthwhile when projects demand faster storage lanes, higher memory capacity or the management features of ASUS Control Center Express. BIOS FlashBack allows updates without a CPU installed, simplifying the transition to 13th Gen processors.

The board is tested for 24/7 operation and uses SafeSlot reinforcement. Active cooling comes from your CPU cooler and case fans; the motherboard itself adds no extra noise or heat beyond standard VRM warmth.
You need DDR4 modules up to 5333(OC) MT/s; the board supports 128 GB maximum in dual-channel mode across the four slots.
No — the PCIe 3.0 x1 slot shares bandwidth with M.2_2; enabling M.2_2 at PCIe 3.0 x4 disables the x1 slot.
