ASUS ROG GR701 Core Ultra 9 Gaming Desktop

The ASUS ROG GR701 is a liquid-cooled gaming desktop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with 24 cores running at 5.7GHz. It includes 64GB of DDR5 memory and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card with 8GB of GDDR7 video memory. The system ships with Windows 11 Home installed and a 750W power supply.

Upgrading from older desktops or integrated graphics

Moving to this platform replaces systems limited to lower core counts, slower memory or previous-generation GPUs. The 24-core architecture and DDR5 bandwidth provide a measurable jump for modern titles and multitasking workloads. The 360mm liquid cooler sustains high clock speeds under load. Buyers who need more GPU memory or multi-GPU support should look elsewhere.

1TB NVMe SSD plus 2TB HDD storage configuration

The 1TB NVMe drive handles the operating system and active games with fast load times. The 2TB SATA III hard drive adds bulk capacity for media libraries and backups. Four DDR5 slots are populated to 64GB, leaving no free slots for further memory expansion without replacing modules. The 750W unit powers the included components with headroom for typical single-GPU upgrades.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 360mm liquid cooler need inside the ASUS ROG GR701 case?

The factory-installed 360mm liquid cooler is already mounted in the GR701 chassis, so no additional radiator clearance is required.

What is the correct orientation for the CPU pump header when installing the 360mm liquid cooler?

The cooler ships pre-assembled; the pump header is connected to the motherboard CPU_FAN header during factory build.

When should the 360mm liquid cooler coolant be replaced in this system?

The sealed 360mm loop is maintenance-free for the life of the PC; no coolant replacement is scheduled.
