ASUS ROG GR701 Gaming Desktop

The ASUS ROG GR701 is a liquid-cooled gaming desktop built around an Intel Core i7-14700KF processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics. It ships with Windows 11 Home, 64GB of DDR5 memory and a 750W power supply. A 360mm liquid cooler handles thermal load for the 20-core CPU.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This system suits players who want a ready-to-game PC with strong single-thread performance and modern ray-tracing capability. Buyers who need more graphics memory for 4K texture packs or professional GPU compute workloads should consider a higher-tier card. The single GPU configuration also limits multi-GPU rendering setups.

Storage capacity and headroom

The 1TB NVMe SSD provides fast boot and game launch speeds while the 2TB SATA III HDD adds bulk capacity for media libraries. Together they cover most enthusiast libraries without immediate expansion. The four DDR5 slots are fully populated at 64GB, so further memory upgrades require module replacement rather than simple addition.

Questions about this item

Does the GR701 come with a monitor, keyboard and mouse so it works straight away?

The GR701 is a desktop tower only; you will need to provide your own display, keyboard and mouse to use it.

Yes, the motherboard includes SATA III ports so additional SATA drives can be installed alongside the factory 2 TB HDD.

How can I verify the 360 mm liquid cooler is keeping the i7-14700KF at safe temperatures after setup?

Run a CPU stress test in a monitoring utility and confirm the 20-core processor stays within Intel's thermal limits under load.
