ASUS ROG GU501GM 15.6" gaming laptop

This 15.6 inch gaming laptop pairs an Intel Core i7-8750H six-core processor with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card. It runs at a base speed of 2.2 GHz and can reach 4.1 GHz with Turbo Boost. The system includes 16 GB of DDR4 2400 memory and a 256 GB PCIe NVMe SSD alongside a 1 TB HDD. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed.

Suited for 120 Hz competitive play

The 15.6 inch FHD IPS panel refreshes at 120 Hz and covers 72 percent NTSC colour gamut at 300 nits brightness. This suits gamers who value smooth motion in fast titles and need a matte anti-glare surface. Buyers who require a higher resolution screen, a wider colour space such as 100 percent sRGB, or a display with a faster response time should look elsewhere.

GTX 1060 6 GB GDDR5X graphics

The dedicated GTX 1060 with 6 GB of GDDR5X video memory determines whether this laptop handles your chosen games at desired settings. It connects via HDMI 2.0 for external displays and supports DirectX 12 features. If your workload demands more video memory, newer architecture features such as ray tracing, or higher compute performance, this GPU will not meet those needs.
