16-inch 2.5K 240Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 is a 16-inch gaming laptop built around a 2.5K 240Hz display, an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX 24-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU with 8GB GDDR7 memory. It ships with 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 2TB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Competitive players who want high refresh rates at 2560 x 1600 resolution will benefit from the 240Hz panel and 3ms response time. Content creators gain from 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage on the IPS-level anti-glare screen. Buyers needing a touchscreen, an SD card reader or a fingerprint reader should consider other models.

The spec that decides fit

The 8GB GDDR7 video memory on the RTX 5070 sets the ceiling for texture-heavy workloads and high-resolution gaming. If your titles or applications demand more VRAM, this configuration will become the limiting factor.
