16-inch 2.5K 240Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 targets competitive players and creators who want high refresh-rate clarity on a 16.0-inch panel. An Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX with 24 cores and a 5.4 GHz turbo drives the system. Windows 11 Home and an Office 2024 license ship pre-installed.

16 GB DDR5 and 2 TB PCIe SSD capacity

Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 memory handles modern titles and multitasking, while the 2 TB PCIe SSD stores large game libraries and project files. The GeForce RTX 5070 with 8 GB GDDR7 frames 2.5K output at 240 Hz; memory limits appear first in texture-heavy 4K workflows.

One Thunderbolt 4 port and HDMI 2.1 support external high-refresh displays and fast peripherals. Three USB-A 3.2 ports, one USB-C 3.2 port and RJ45 LAN cover legacy and wired needs. Questions about this item

Will my older USB-A mouse and keyboard work with the 3 x USB-A 3.2 ports on this ROG Strix G16?

Yes, the three USB-A 3.2 ports are backward compatible, so existing USB-A peripherals will connect and function normally.

How can I verify the 16" 2.5K 240Hz panel is running at its native 2560 x 1600 resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate after setup?

Open Windows Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and confirm the resolution shows 2560 x 1600 and the refresh rate dropdown lists 240 Hz.

Does the box include a Thunderbolt 4 cable for the single Thunderbolt 4 port, or do I need to buy one separately?

The laptop ships with its power adapter and documentation; a Thunderbolt 4 cable is not included and must be purchased separately if required.
